Lightning Protection

A lightning rod protects buildings by creating a conductive path that safely channels atmospheric discharges into the ground. The collector is placed at the highest point of the structure.

Two basic types:
• Classic lightning rod — a mesh system on the roof with an iron rod collector.
• Active lightning rod — a special collector that actively attracts lightning during storms.
